A Draw-it-Yourself book where you do your own drawings (on cartridge paper) to match the tale of a cow who has to improvise in order to survive when she gets caught in a major flood.
The Cow That Could Swim
I have created Short Fat Stubby Finger Publications in order to promote my books which I hope to be able to commence selling early in 2015.
Over the next few months I hope to provide you with the titles and about them and I would also like to share some of my 180 poems with you.
To start of I have included, hopefully for your pleasure;
A world I once knew
t.s.
And so we danced
Through the night
Gentle music drifting
Swaying us from left to right
The world we knew
Would end real soon
No more love
in fields beneath a moon
but love within a home
with the patter of tiny feet
a fulfillment of destiny
of why we had to meet
for we were not meant to love alone
but shared with kindred soul
a dozen tiny replicas
to replace us when we are grey and old
bringing happy families to the fore
to even up the score
to offset bitter lives
and to let love rule the earth once more
yet right then
we danced the night away
not understanding all the things
that were waiting in the light of day
but we were not afraid
we faced each day with pride
for we were young and strong
and our love would not be denied
and now we can reminisce
of the past that’s gone
there’s a light that shines ahead
our star dims sightly with the rising of the dawn
yet we can go on dancing
till our feet move no more
till they come to move us
off this dancing floor
eternal love was our blessing
our life our love a beautiful game
and a surplus supply of loving means
our children will know the same
from Love and Other memories
Vol no. to be advised
I hope you liked it. I have limited the length of this blog this time as I am uncertain how this will print (and there is even a possibility of a duplicate (SORT OF) Blog being released with it … so please forgive me if this happens).
I am in the middle of trying to learn how to create my web site, my blog, my short fat stubby finger publication facebook and a dozen other things which I had planned to do in the first few weeks of my 3 months long service leave prior to retiring on the 1st of January, 2015. However I hadn’t planned on being ill for months on end, including the first 5 weeks of my holiday, but the good news is that I eventually spent 9 days in hospital with heart problems and I am feeling the best I have felt for years (though on a ton of medication).
But I am certainly well enough to really get stuck into the fore-mentioned, even if I am getting nowhere fast, and I am even managing to find time to proof read all my stories.
Well that’s it for now. Please feel free to contact me should you have any further queries regarding my stories (providing I have managed to add an e-mail address to this blog).
Well bye, gals and guys
See you shortly
Tony Stewart
